Globalization Of The NFL
Throughout the years the NFL has continued to globalize. Globalization in a sport is a good thing due to the competition of other sports battling for more revenue and fans. It is crazy to think that the NFL started from such a small league to the Giant almost worldwide league it is now a days. Not only has the NFL become a huge sport in the U.S. but it has also worked on spreading throughout the globe. The NFL has had various games in the United Kingdom. Spreading the games out in the Kingdom not only creates more fans but it also raises a lot more revenue for the League. Along with the games in the U.K. the NFL also has a very large fan base in Mexico and Germany. If the NFL can somehow manage to branch out and have games in these countries it could be a potential money maker. Considering how much of a success the games were in the U.K. the NFL has created an international program to schedule at least one game a year to be in a different country. This has created a Globalization of different atmosphere for the players to play in. It is extremely different to go from playing a game in the heart of Texas to London in the United Kingdom. Globalizing the League is mostly for the better overall though. It raises a lot more revenue and creates new fans that will continually support there favorite teams. If the NFL can expand across the globe it will eventually create a lot more wealth and possible open up doors for a league that is across the world, such as maybe even Olympic teams.
